What We Believe

Rodney was brought up in a Christian home and was saved at the age of 11 years old while sitting under the preaching of the gospel at First Baptist Church in Church Hill, TN. Several years later while spending 8 years in the US Army, Rodney transferred his membership to Rock Springs Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN where Dr. Edward C. Dillowe is pastor. Later, Rodney felt the Lord's calling to preach upon his life and announced his calling on March 6, 1994. A short while later, while studying in Bible College, Rodney heard the "Macedonian" call to the country of Mexico (July 30, 1995). Rodney and Amanda were accepted by Macedonia World Baptist Missions and appointed to the field of Mexico (March 20, 1997). After finishing Bible College and doing deputation for two years the Lane Family set foot on Mexican soil in 1999. They are currently working as church planters among the Tepehuanes Indians in Durango, Mexico.

Amanda grew up in church but it wasn't until 1993 that she realized that she was a sinner in need of salvation. It was then that Amanda received Christ Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior.  She enrolled for a short term in Faith Baptist Bible College of Mt. Carmel, TN before leaving for the mission field in 1999. Amanda is actively involved in the mission work that she and her husband began. She takes care of her home, home schools her children, teaches Sunday School, does summer Bible clubs for children and has a monthly ladies meeting. Amanda truly has a heart for the people of Mexico and her desire is to see them saved and trained to serve the Lord.
