Dr. Edward and Sister Sue Dillowe

Married: 12-25-1959
Both Saved: 6-8-1966
Dr. Ed had been in the "Jehovah’s Witnesses" Cult for more than
20 years when he was converted. Sue attended the Methodist Church as a youth,
but had not been saved. They were saved at a Baptismal Service by Holston River
when Dr. Tony Gonzalez read them Hebrews 11:6 and told them how to be saved.
They, and 27 others, were baptized by Dr. Gonzalez that day.
Dr. Dillowe was called to preach May 5, 1968 as his pastor, Dr. Tony
Gonzalez, was preaching at State Line Baptist Church. He preached his first
message June 5. He has pastored all but one year since then.
He is the founding
pastor of Rock Springs Baptist Church. 1567 Rock Springs Road; Kingsport, TN

Dr. Dillowe started Rock Springs Baptist Mission in 1984 under a different
name. In 1989, the African brothers voted for the mission to bear the name of the church
here, so it was named "Rock Springs Baptist Mission." Thought the bulk
of the work of RSB Mission is in Malawi and Mozambique is second, we have works
in nine African countries. His love for missions and for traveling has taken him
into 29 countries, some of them ten times.
Dr. Dillowe has seven doctorate degrees, though two of them are honorary.
Christian Education has been a passion for him. He founded and ran East
Tennessee Bible Institute for 15 years. It was chartered with the State of
Tennessee. He has taught for Belle Meadows Bible College of Bristol, Virginia
for nine years.
He has written approximately 100 tracts and booklets and one small book on
"Why I Can No Longer Be a ‘Jehovah’s Witness’." One of his
"JW" tracts is in Spanish and in every Spanish-speaking country in the
world. One million copies of his "A-B-C" tract in the Chichewa
language have been sent to Malawi, Central Africa. 1.1 million people have
professed faith in Christ through the ministry of Rock Springs Baptist Missions.
To God be all the glory and honor for all the good that has been done. He alone
is worthy to be praised.
"One of the thrills of my life was when the Lord called Rodney Lane, Jr.
to
preach, then soon afterward set him apart for missions (Acts 13:1-5) from Rock
Springs Baptist Church. Brother Rodney was a soul winner before he ever started
toward the mission field, therefore it is no surprise that he has been fruitful
on the field. His precious wife, Amanda, was saved at Rock Springs Baptist
Church. I have had the privilege of visiting their Spanish church, and the
Indian works with him, and rejoiced to see the fruit of his labors. We
appreciate all 61 of the missionaries we help support. Certainly none are more
faithful or fruitful than the Lane Family."-Dr. Dillowe
